Kazakhstan: Shocking testimony of expatriates – Jihadists acted in the country before the riots

Shocking evidence of jihadist activity in Kazakhstan was brought to light by the OREN bulletin.

Expatriate director Giannis Charalambidis spoke about the involvement of extremist fanatical Islamists in cases such as the annihilation of the family of expatriate wrestler Panagiotis Zacharopoulos and another expatriate, whose daughter was recruited to Syria.

President Kasim-Yomart Tokayev has declared a day of national mourning for “the many victims of the tragic events in some parts of the country,” according to state media.

A Russian-led military alliance of former Soviet states, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), has sent paratroopers to Kazakhstan as part of a peacekeeping force. A total of about 2,500 members of the security forces from abroad are being sent to Kazakhstan, the CSTO alliance said.
