Russia and Ukraine agreed on a solution to export millions of tons of grain from Ukraine. Both Russia and Ukraine signed separate accords on Friday in Istanbul brokered by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
“The international initiative to ensure the safe export of grain, food and fertilizers through the war zone of the Black Sea gives a ‘beacon of hope’ for the whole world to address the food crisis and mitigate the effects of the energy crisis” said the president of the Central Union of Chambers, Yannis Masoutis.
KEEE, after this positive development, estimates that the prices of the raw materials of agri-food goods will gradually de-escalate, while this agreement shows the way for the restoration of energy costs.
