“I gained 45 kg . In short, I saw what [os haters] they did with Jessica Simpson [durante a gravidez] and I thought it was disgusting. I was quite scared that this would happen to me too, so I hid. I just didn't want there to be pictures floating around. I didn't want to face that and hear people saying, 'Wow, she's huge!'. So I just eliminated the problem”, he said during an interview with People.
In addition to concerns about derogatory comments about her body, Kelly faced health issues during her pregnancy, including Gestational diabetes .
“I had gestational diabetes, so I couldn’t even eat what I wanted. My partner, Sid [Wilson, do Slipknot]was on tour, so I just moved back to my parents' house, spent time with my dad and we did everything together (…)”, he explained.
The star also revealed that after Sidney was born, she immediately started trying to lose the weight she had gained.
“I was at risk of developing real diabetes, so I stuck to the same diet I had before — no sugar, no carbs, lean proteins, lots of fiber-rich vegetables, and then the little things like not eating a bread basket, cutting back on refrigerator. I wasn't patient with myself. It was something I was angry about. I didn’t need to hide,” she lamented.
