Keyboard and Mouse Support, DLSS and Ray Tracing Support: Marvel’s Spider-Man Coming to PC August 12

Yesterday, July 20, Sony representatives on the official PlayStation blog presented the trailer for the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man and talked about the key features of the project. For example, it turned out that the developers ported not the original game to the new platform, but an improved version of the project that was released on the PlayStation 5. Accordingly, gamers on the PC will receive more modern graphics, but in addition to this, the developers have prepared a lot of innovations for the upcoming release – most of them was not implemented on the original current generation console, so the PC client looks even better.

For starters, Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC will support ray tracing technology, which will make reflections on various surfaces look more realistic. True, in order for this feature to work, the user needs a video card with support for ray tracing. Also, the game on PC will support NVIDIA DLSS upsell technology, which should increase the frame rate. Additionally, support for the latest NVIDIA DLAA anti-aliasing technology and widescreen monitors has been implemented – it will be possible to play on both ultra-wide monitors with an aspect ratio of 21:9, and on the latest models with a ratio of 32:9.

In addition, on the PlayStation blog, the developers noted that on the PC, the gamer will have the ability to quite flexibly adjust the graphics in the game – you can work with shadows, textures and lighting, run the project in windowed mode (if necessary) and more. And, best of all for the audience of video game fans, it will be possible to fight enemies and move between the skyscrapers of New York using the keyboard and mouse. Of course, the game also supports DualSense – in this case, the player will also receive adaptive triggers and advanced tactile feedback.

The blog also has a table with system requirements for the new game – it turned out that even owners of very old systems can play on a PC. However, given the performance of the PlayStation 5, this was to be expected. For example, at 720p at the minimum graphics settings, you can even play on the GTX 950 video card – it was released back in 2015. And, of course, when buying a remastered version of the game, the gamer receives all the plot add-ons from The City That Never Sleeps cycle, which significantly expand the storyline – initially they had to be bought separately.

Marvel’s Spider-Man releases for PC on August 12 via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
