One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a series of bombings across the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Monday, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said on Tuesday, according to CNN.
Syniehubov said there were 65 bombings in the city on Monday alone.
Meanwhile, 600 homes in the city have been destroyed by Russian attacks since the start of the war, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Monday, adding that the houses could not be repaired.
“People lost their homes,” he said. “Fifty schools and many medical institutions, including maternity hospitals, were also bombed in Kharkov.”
Elsewhere, Volodymyr Matsokin, his deputy mayor Iziumsaid his city has been “under siege for two weeks, without water, without electricity, heating, food, medicine, communication”.
