The Russian representative office of Kia has shared details about the launch of the updated Kia Cerato sedan in Russia.
The start of sales is scheduled for September 2021, cars will be produced at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. The model has already passed all the necessary certifications and received “Vehicle Type Approval”.
The new Cerato will be the first Kia car in the Russian market to receive a new brand logo and will be equipped with the factory’s Kia Connect telematics system. The model also received an expanded set of comfort and safety options, the Drive Wise driver assistance system and the infotainment system were updated.
Kia Cerato will offer Russian users with two variants of four-cylinder petrol engines with distributed fuel injection:
- 1.6 MPI with a maximum power of 128 hp. with. (at 6300 rpm) and a maximum torque of 155 Nm
- 2.0 MPI with a maximum power of 150 hp. with. (at 6200 rpm) and a maximum torque of 192 Nm
