The South Korean automaker has unveiled the EV6, a next-generation electric vehicle built on the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (E-GMP), but unlike its parent company, Kia has taken a different approach to its design. Instead of an angular hatchback, the EV6 has a lower and more rounded shape that makes the car look like a crossover.
It should be noted that the Kia EV6 is visually very different from other models of the manufacturer and sets a new style. It has unusual proportions: a long base, a short and wide front end, a low bonnet and headlights connected by a solid line. The most striking part of the design is the taillights, which are represented by a curved strip that cuts diagonally at the rear of the body.

The company used the same approach in the interior. Inside there are two screens for the dashboard and infotainment system, a wide center console with a block of touch keys. There are also mechanical buttons, they are on the steering wheel and to the left of it.

As for the EV6 specifications, the company has yet to reveal them, but they will most likely correspond to the Ioniq 5. Thus, we can expect models with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as well as variations with one and two motors for 215 and 302 hp. from. respectively. The electric car is likely to be supplied with 58 and 77.4 kWh batteries, and the range of the top version will be 500 km. The full premiere of the Kia EV6 will take place at the end of March.
