Ukraine’s attorney general today accused Russian forces of “beheading” a Ukrainian soldier in the Donetsk region near the eastern front, denouncing a new war crime by Moscow’s military. “We have received information according to which the heads of the units of the Russian occupation forces in the Volnonafka zone of the Donetsk region ordered that there should be no prisoners among the Ukrainian soldiers,” the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office said in a statement on Telegram. It reports that the head of a Ukrainian soldier was seen on a military vehicle during an aerial reconnaissance operation. A photo accompanying the announcement shows a light armored military vehicle, on the hood of which the spot where the head is said to be located is floated.
