Kiev: Dozens of people were injured last night, according to the city mayor

Dozens of people were injured last night in Kiev, said this morning the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.

By 6.00 local time (Greek time), 35 people, including two children, had been injured. It is not clear if he was referring only to civilians.

Klitschko added that at the moment there is no significant Russian military presence in Kiev, although, as he said, groups of saboteurs have been activated.

Meanwhile, no one was killed when a rocket hit an apartment building in the Ukrainian capital earlier today, an adviser to the Interior Ministry said.

Anton Herashenko also said that Russia was lying when it claimed that it was not bombing political infrastructure. He said at least 40 such facilities had been damaged and that Russian troops were bombing civilian facilities.
