Kiev: ‘We destroyed an important bridge for the Russians in occupied Kherson’

Ukrainian rockets hit a major bridge used by Russian occupation forces in the southern Kherson region on Friday and put it out of action, southern Ukraine’s military command said.

“Artillery units continued their missions, including securing control of the Darievsky bridge. Its operation is currently suspended,” the Ukrainians said, while Moscow has not commented on the news.

The Darievsky Bridge, about 100 meters long, is the only Russian-controlled crossing of the Inhulets River, a tributary of the Dnieper.

The neutralization of the Darievsky Bridge could create a serious problem in the crossing of the lands flanking the bridge and west of the Dnieper, which the Russians control, even cutting off some Russian units.
