Ukraine’s intelligence services do not see any Russian “strike forces” on the border, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said in an interview with ICTV.
“To date, our services do not notice any impact units, but that does not mean that (the Russians) can not deploy them when they want, because the danger still exists,” Reznikov said. According to the minister, it may take one to two weeks for such units to be developed, “depending on Russian plans”.
As there are no such “striking forces” of the Russian army in any city around Ukraine, it is not correct to say that there may be an “attack” in the coming days, “tomorrow or the day after tomorrow,” he added.
“But this does not mean that the risk is low and does not mean that there is no threat. I want to remind our partners that the threat has existed since 2013,” he said.
