One of the most recognizable – and controversial – appearances of Russian propaganda fell dead on the border with Ukraine when her vehicle was hit by a mine, according to a New York Post report. Anna Prokofieva, 35, a war correspondent of the Channel One pro -government channel, was killed in a mission to the Belgorod area near the Russian -border border, according to a Russian state television. The accident occurred when the vehicle carrying herself and her cameraman, Dmitry Volkov, stepped into a mine, which – as the channel argued – had placed Ukrainian forces.
