Their story tells how the Osage people of Oklahoma were killed because of control of the oil rights that were making them rich.
Among the production's Oscar nominations were Best Film, Best Actress, Best Direction, Best Original Song, Best Original Soundtrack, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Supporting Actor, Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.
Beyond, “Barbie” he was also one of the biggest losers of the night. Nominated for eight categories, the film was one of the biggest bets of the night. However, Greta Gerwing's production only won the statuette. Best Song Original, by “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish.
As a highlight of the night, “Oppenheimer” won seven of the 11 categories in which it had been nominated.
