Kim Jong Un sent his condolences to Iran for the loss of the country's president

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed his condolences to Iran over the loss of President Ibrahim Raisi and other officials in a helicopter crash, state news agency KCNA reported. In his message, the North Korean leader called the death of Ebrahim Raisi a “great loss”, expressing sympathy for the grieving families. He was an “excellent political leader and a close friend”, he had “a great contribution to the cause of the Iranian people”, in the effort to “defend the national sovereignty, development and interests of the country”, as well as the “acquisitions of the Islamic Revolution”, he added Mr. Kim, according to KCNA. North Korea and Iran have close relations. Western governments are suspected of cooperating on their ballistic missile development programs, possibly by exchanging expertise and technical data.
