One of the most popular celebrities of the decade, Kim Kardashian, who became world famous due to the reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, revealed that she would be happy to live a life away from the spotlight, dedicating herself only to the right.
In an interview with “TIME100 Summit” last Tuesday (25), she opened her heart about her new professional path as a lawyer: “I would be very happy to be a full-time lawyer. The journey really opened my eyes a lot. It’s impressive because there’s so much to be done,” she said.
“I took my sister Khloé to a prison for the first time last week, and it was pretty eye-opening for her,” Kim said.
Still in the conversation, she talked about a joke with Kris Jenner, responsible for building the Kardashian family empire.
“I always play with my mother, who is my manager. I say Kim Kardashian is retiring and I’m just going to be a lawyer,” she added.
The socialite approached the topic when she learned the story of Alice Marie Johnson, a woman who was arrested in 1996 for association with drug trafficking and sentenced to life imprisonment.
In jail, Johnson, who was the primary defendant, always showed exemplary behavior and fulfilled the requirements to benefit from a clemency project created by former US President Barack Obama, but his request was refused.
Kim Kardashian was actively engaged in the cause and met with former President Donald Trump in 2019 to ask for clemency for Johnson, who was pardoned and released at the age of 63.
In 2021, she took her first step into law, passing a California law exam after failing three attempts.
“For those who don’t know my path through law school, know that it wasn’t easy and it didn’t even come for free,” he explained. “I failed this exam three times in two years, but each time I got stronger, studied harder and tried again, until I got it,” she said at the time.
Recently, Kim announced that she will be a part of the 12th season of the series “American Horror Story“. The businesswoman will win a role written especially for her and will play opposite Emma Roberts. On Instagram, she shared the news with her fans on April 10.
