Kim Kardashian should testify on Tuesday (13) in case about theft in Paris

The Kim Kardashian reality show star, 44, is expected to witness in Paris on Tuesday (13) at the trial of a group of men dubbed the “Grandma Gang”, accused of stealing her armed and stealing jewelry rated in millions of dollars during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.

Kim Kardashian told about the assault on American TV host David Letterman in a 2020 interview during which he fought tears as he remembered his fears of being raped that night.

Traces of DNA found in plastic clamps used to tie Kardashian’s wrists helped police arrests the following January.

In total, nine men and one woman are being tried by the Criminal Court. Five of them – all men – face accusations of armed theft and kidnapping and potentially risk being sentenced to life imprisonment. The others are accused of complicity in the assault or unauthorized possession of a weapon.

While the thieves escaped on foot or by bicycle, they lost some of the jewelry, including a cross with six diamonds, which a passerby found on the street and took to the police. But most jewelry, including the $ 4 million ring (about $ 23 million), was never found.

One of the suspects has died and another is too sick to be tried at this time, prosecutors said. Verdicts can be announced on May 23.
