KINAL: Debate for five and Loverdou ‘stigma’

The chestnuts from the fire that “lit” with the refusal of George Papandreou to hold a televised debate of all six candidates for president of KINAL, will be called to take out ERT. The competent election committee of the party (EDEKAP), after a long meeting yesterday, “raised” its hands high, deciding that it can not decide.

This means that today, the other five contenders for the leadership – except G. Papandreou (Androulakis, Loverdos, Geroulanos, Christidis and Kastanidis), will send a letter to ERT requesting a telematch in the 2017 standards – also inviting former prime minister if he finally changes his mind.

Inside the party, there is a commotion a few weeks before the first race of the internal elections of December 5, although everyone points to the need to maintain unity and the “comradely atmosphere”.

The “stigma” of Loverdos

Andreas Loverdos took a step forward, louder than his rivals, in the direction in which he intends to move if he wins the battle of the internal party elections, on the occasion of the vote on the tightening of the penal code.

The position of KINAL, which in the end, was formed into a “present”, not only did not bind Mr. Loverdos, on the contrary it opposed it, voting in favor of the government bill, with its differentiation to explain it himself, reserving specific and clear messages to its opponents, stating “free” from the need to obey correlations:

“Now free to obey party affiliations, I will give absolutely my own element of my political identity as a free man and a member of parliament. I will act according to my conscience without fear or passion as nothing binds me and I tell you that despite his “I disagree on some issues, I vote yes on the principle and most of the articles”, said Andreas Loverdos precisely, possibly foreshadowing how he intends to move the next day of KINAL if he does not take the helm of the party.

But he did not just say that. He made direct remarks about the attitude of KINAL, talking about “pseudo-ideologies” of some who otherwise “shed crocodile tears” on television when hate crimes such as the rape of a minor are discussed, but when it comes to parliament, they do not vote for the relevant ruling.
