KINAL elections: N. Androulakis wants a resounding victory – Polarization strategy by G. Papandreou

By Niki Zorba

The strategies of the gladiators N. Androulakis and G. Papandreou in view of the turmoil of Sunday’s internal party elections are absolutely clear, although the former prime minister in front of the deafening lead of the PASOK MEP changed his own:

Opposite strategies

From the low tones he maintained during the first round, he went on the offensive, challenging his fellow candidate on a number of issues with heavy peaks: Old party, being young does not mean that he expresses renewal, he has perceptions of power, etc.

Nikos Androulakis, without the stress of the first place, remains in the same strategy that he devised throughout the internal party race: Not in polarization, not in behaviors of discord that “hurt the party”, as he characteristically states at every opportunity, equal distances from N. .Δ- SYRIZA for the possibility of post-election collaborations and mainly: Not in a tactic of conflict with George Papandreou at the end of the process.

Mr. Androulakis said it clearly: I will not say why they should not vote for George Papandreou, I will say why they should vote for me.

However, the winner of the first round last night (Mega) “cut off” the cough in the scenarios and suggestions about the withdrawal of G. Papandreou so that the second round of the internal party elections for the sake of unity does not take place, characterizing it as “unthinkable”.

Mr. Androulakis’s reaction is reasonable, given that he is looking for an overwhelming victory from a broad electorate that sends loud messages in favor of the party leader and binds them all.

Andreas Loverdos suggested to G. Papandreou his withdrawal from the internal party process in Vygyros, in their communication. The KINAL MP who cut the thread third last Sunday, with his announcement yesterday expressed his support for Nikos Androulakis. Support, of course, welcomed by the Cretan MEP, which did not surprise anyone. “News” and paradox would be the opposite: Let Mr. Loverdos support the former Prime Minister.

Yesterday, Nikos Androulakis contacted the rest of his fellow candidates by phone, inviting them to contribute to the mass turnout at Sunday’s polls. It is recalled that P. Geroulanos and C. Kastanidis have already avoided giving a “line” to their voters in view of the round, favoring in practice, the winner of the first round.
