KINAL: New burdens on the weak owners with the increase of the objective values

New burdens on the weak owners with the increase of the objective values and the abolition of the additional tax are brought by the government, according to KINAL.

According to a statement issued last June after the announcement of the new fair values, “their increases in many popular neighborhoods reach up to 40%. The new inclusion of areas in the fair value system will burden a number of taxes and fees. many weak households, as they will no longer be characterized as vulnerable under the provisions for the granting of the KEA and for the even limited protection from the new bankruptcy code “.

KINAL points out that it then called on the Government to proceed with the adjustment of the relevant limits so that the increase in objective values does not affect vulnerable citizens. “The government not only went deaf but even proceeded with the particularly provocative exemption for the grandchildren’s grandchildren, raising the tax-free amount to 800,000 for parental benefit taxes for each child,” he added.

The announcement continues: “In addition, according to relevant publications which refer to the adjustment of ENFIA rates, due to the new objective values, the abolition of the additional ENFIA that applies to total assets worth more than 250,000 euros is considered a government decision.

This means, to the extent that government plans are implemented, for the same fiscal result, that the abolition of the elementary progressiveness provided by the supplementary ENFIA, combined with the new increased fair values, will shift the additional tax burden to the weaker owners. who constitute the majority, for the benefit of the few and powerful.

“The Movement for Change will escalate its initiatives to overturn the socially unjust tax policy promoted by the New Democracy government.”
