KINAL: The government moves in its logic by seeing and doing with precision

A comment on the interview of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was issued by the KINAL press office, where he stressed that the Prime Minister “failed” to reassure the citizens “who are plagued by the frightening increase in the cost of living and production”.

The announcement of KINAL

If today’s hasty TV appearance of Mr. Mitsotakis was intended to reassure the citizens, who are plagued by the frightening increase in the cost of living and production, it failed.

It is now clear that the government continues to face the wave of precision and the energy crisis without a comprehensive plan, in the logic of “seeing and doing”.

We call on him to stop keeping equal distances from the accuracy and problems of the citizens and to adopt our proposals, such as:

• the reduction of VAT on basic goods,

• the reduction of the Excise Tax on fuel,

• the increase of the minimum wage according to the proposals of the social partners,

• the restoration of a form of EKAS for 350,000 low-income retirees

• regulatory interventions in the energy market and investments in RES, so that we do not have the most expensive electricity in Europe

to provide immediate relief to families and businesses that are finding it increasingly difficult to meet their obligations.
