King Charles of the United Kingdom and his wife, Queen Camilla, arrived at the Chapel of St. George on Sunday (20) for an Easter service, to which they attend annually.
Charles and Camilla were accompanied by other members of the royal family, including York Duchess, Sarah Ferguson, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and Prince Andrew.
On Thursday (17), Charles gave an annual Easter message to reflect on war, human suffering, and heroism of those who risk their lives to protect others.
“One of the puzzles of our humanity is how we are capable of as much cruelty as so goodness,” he said, describing what he called the “paradox of human life.”
“At one moment, terrible images of human suffering and, in another, heroic acts in countries devastated by war, where humanitarians of all kinds risk their own lives to protect the lives of others,” he said.
