King Charles welcomed guests to Windsor Castle, at a special music event dedicated to the importance of music to local communities. Together with the Duke and the Duchess of Gloster, the monarch organized a night full of creativity and sounds of … vegetables. Among the guests stood out the presence of the London Vegetable Orchestra, an original musical form that interprets pieces using fresh vegetables instead of traditional instruments. Its members offered the king a carrot flame and played with him the well -known children’s song “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” (“My Moon Shiny”). The event also marked the king’s return to public appearances on April 1, after brief hospitalization due to side effects of chemotherapy to treat cancer. The London Vegetable Orchestra, founded ten years ago by students of the Royal Academy of Music, is today an innovative ensemble with professional musicians.
