Kingston Technology, which specializes in memory modules, has announced that the DDR5 UDIMMs it is preparing for release have been certified to be compatible with the Intel platform. Kingston Technology is said to be the first ISV to achieve Intel Platform Validation for DDR5 memory modules.
The first DDR5 platforms are expected to hit the market next year. The certification ensures that 16GB and 32GB DDR5 UDIMMs are compatible with these Intel platforms. These modules will open up a series of high-performance modules of various form factors and sizes. In anticipation of widespread availability, Kingston will ship over 10,000 samples of DDR5 UDIMMs to major motherboard manufacturers and technology partners. This will help them enter the market more successfully with products that support the next generation of RAM.
