Kissinger: Biden meeting with Xi Jinping broke the ‘barrier of silence’ – When will the war in Ukraine end

THE Henry Kissinger commented on his meeting Joe Beinen and his Si Jipingstressing that the “barrier of silence” between the US and China has finally broken, while also referring to when the war in Ukraine.

Speaking to bloomberg.com stated that the meeting between Presidents Biden and Xi Jinping on Monday he gave the trigger for a “bridging effort” in the US-China relationshipincluding by restarting cooperation in areas such as climate change and the global economy.

He also mentioned, with all reservations about the course of the discussions that can also judge the fate of the war in Ukraine to a certain extent, that the meeting of the two leaders created a common framework for discussion and a good atmosphere, which was not a given.

The former US official made it clear that the war in Ukraine will only end if Ukraine retains its territory but added that the European security system must include Russia if peace is to be maintained in the future. But he acknowledged that dialogue with Russia at this stage is very difficult.
