Two girls injured when they were attacked with a knife on their way to a primary school by a man in the South West Germanya police spokesman said, according to Reuters.
The spokesman could not provide further details about the attack, which took place in Illerkirchberg, a town of about 5,000 people west of Munich.
Bild had earlier reported that the attacker has been arrested.
The injured girls have been taken to hospital.
