Know what to take to the Enem exams

The National Secondary Education Examination (Enem) 2021 starts on Sunday (21) and it’s time to check if everything is in order, so as not to forget anything on the day of the exam. This year, as in the previous edition of the exam, in addition to the official identification document with photo and the ballpoint pen in black ink, made of transparent material, the face mask is a mandatory item.

According to the exam notice, participants who are not wearing a face shield will not be able to enter the test site. The rule applies to both printed and digital Enem. During the entire exam, candidates must wear a mask covering the nose and mouth.

The notice also brings a series of identification documents accepted by Enem. Participants must present the original documents, with a photo. Digital documents are not accepted. Among the identifications accepted are the Identity Card, the CNH, the passport and the Work Permit issued after January 27, 1997.

The black ink ballpoint pen, made of transparent material, is also a mandatory item for digital Enem candidates, as the writing will be done on paper and not on a computer, like the rest of the test.

Recommended items

Although not mandatory, it is recommended that participants also bring at least one extra mask to change during the race. There will be alcohol gel at the tasting venues for students to wash their hands, but participants are allowed to bring their own product if they wish.

As this is a long test, it is also recommended that they bring snacks and water and/or other beverages, with the exception of alcoholic beverages which are not allowed and may lead to the candidate’s elimination.

It is also recommended that you bring your Enrollment Confirmation Card on the day of the exam. It contains, among other information, the test location. The card can be accessed on the Participant Page. If they need to prove that they participated in the exam, students can also, on the Participant’s Page, print the Declaration of Attendance for each day of the exam, informing the CPF and password. The declaration must be presented to the applicator at the door of the room on each day. It serves, for example, to justify the absence from work.

prohibited items

Candidates may not carry any electronic devices, such as cell phones, during the exam, smartphones, tablets, wearable tech, calculating machines, electronic diaries and/or similar, ipods®, recorders, pen drive, mp3 and/or the like; alarms, alarm switches or any other electronic component.

They must also not have headphones and/or any transmitter, recorder and/or receiver of data, images, videos and messages in their hands. Sunglasses and headgear items such as caps, hats, visors, caps or similar items are also prohibited; pen made of non-transparent material, pencil, mechanical pencil, erasers, rulers, corrections, books, manuals, printed matter, notes; ear protector, watch of any kind.

These objects, if the student takes them to the exam, must be placed inside the storage envelope provided by the examiner, when entering the exam room. The Declaration of Attendance must also be placed inside the envelope. The envelope must be sealed and identified, from entry into the evidence room until definitive exit from the venue.
