Konstantinos Iatridis: Israel’s goal is to destroy the headquarters and executives of Hamas

For the war in the Middle East which continues and the Israel who is advancing into Gaza with armored vehicles and infantry spoke on Tuesday morning (10/31) the vice-captain e.a. Konstantinos Iatridis. As he pointed out, the goal of Netanyahu’s country is to destroy the headquarters and executives of Hamas.

“Israel’s plan, which had two options as the Israeli, GES chief had said, one was to do a major ground operation immediately in a few weeks but it would have to get involved in a civil war and that would not be a good option, and the second was to divide the Gaza Strip in two, especially in the north, and that’s what Netanyahu is trying to do,” he initially said speaking to MEGA and the Society Hour Mega show.

“It has blocked the northern part from all sides and is currently dividing Gaza in half, with the main objective of reaching the largest hospital Al-Sifah which is near the sea where it has information that its headquarters is there Hamas. The hospital has 1,500 patient beds, 4,000 staff and there are over 10,000-14,000 trying to protect themselves. And because Israel couldn’t bomb that’s why they decided to have the ground forces go in that way, so that they could go in without bombing it and destroy the headquarters and the Hamas operatives there. And on the other hand, to encircle Gaza without entering the urban fabric” underlined Mr. Iatridis.

“They will encircle Gaza until they run out of fuel and food”

“The fighting that took place was fierce, so they decided to encircle Gaza. If they succeed in destroying the headquarters, they will encircle Gaza so that they run out of fuel and food, there will be no generators inside the arcades, they will run out of oxygen, and Hamas will be forced out. It is estimated to be more than 4 months, and according to American experts, it will take 9 months,” he noted.

Referring to Israel’s alliances and enemies, Mr. Iatridis pointed out that, “we have already seen arrows from Hamas that it does not support their struggle, and indeed we all saw it, that Hezbollah has not been directly involved. It seems that either it has not received the green light from Iran because of the USA or that it does not want to involve Lebanon in such a war, as it has many problems both politically and economically”.

Did Iran sacrifice Hamas just to cancel the Abraham deal?
According to Mr. Iatridis, “one of the goals was this. This war brought together for the first time the 2 branches of Islam, Sunni and Shia – Hamas is Sunni and Hezbollah is Shia – so this approach creates problems for Western countries that have Muslims either as immigrants or as citizens.”
