Korean Air will stop serving instant noodles, a popular snack in Korea known as ramyeon that requires boiling water, on long-haul flights as part of changes it is making due to an increase in incidents of turbulence. Concerns about turbulence on flights have grown since May when a Singapore Airlines flight from London encountered severe turbulence that left one passenger stranded and dozens injured. The instant noodles are being heavily advertised on social media as a tempting offer by the airline on its flights.
