South Korean company Shinhan Card, owned by financial corporation Shinhan Bank, launched a service to verify the authenticity of goods online.
The Shinhan Card team assures that the application of blockchain technology and Lightning Market will allow buyers to verify the authenticity and ownership of goods without fear of data loss or forgery. Each object of verification is accompanied by a unique serial number of the corresponding product, information about the product and the manufacturer, as well as its supplier:
“We will continue to implement a variety of blockchain-based services used in everyday life.”
The developers promise that the digital compliance guarantee service will put an end to the sale of counterfeit products. During the pilot phase, the service database will include data on about 10,000 of the most popular items that can be checked using the Shinhan Card.
Earlier, the South Korean Shinhan Bank, together with the Hedera Hashgraph team, announced the completion of the development of a “proof of concept” system for international transfers using stablecoins. According to the participants in the development, the main advantage of using the blockchain and stable coins will be the reduction of commissions and the speed of transfers.
