Kouleba: We aim to achieve peace with Russia in February 2023

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dimytro Kuleba said on Monday that his government aims to hold a summit aimed at achieving peace with Russia by the end of Februarypreferably in the United Nations with possible mediator Secretary General Antonio Guterres, roughly in the period when one year will have already been completed since the declaration of war by Moscow.

Ukraine’s foreign minister told The Associated Press that he is “completely satisfied’ with the results of President Zelensky’s visit to the US last week and revealed that the US government has made a special plan to have Patriot missiles ready for Ukraine in less than six months.

Typically, training on these missile systems takes up to a year.

Kuleba said during the interview that took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that Ukraine will do everything it can to win the war in 2023, adding that diplomacy always plays an important role.

Every war ends diplomatically“, he said. “Every war ends as a result of actions taken on the battlefield and at the negotiating table».

“The United Nations could be the best place to hold this summit, because we are not going to do favors to a particular country,” he said, among other things.
