The license gives the right to offer throughout the European Union cryptocurrency trading services, including exporting trade, assets storage and payments.
Kraken’s co -director Arjun Sethi said that licensing of a trading platform in accordance with the unified rules for crypto regulation of the European Union will help European expansion plans. According to him, the company already has licenses of the provider of virtual assets (VASP) services in Ireland, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. The new license, explained the head of Kraken, supplements the permissions previously received by the exchange related to the provision of financial and payment services in the EU.
The new license opens Kraken with the capabilities of products, such as adjustable futures and crypto payments, as well as integration with traditional finances through services like Kraken Embed, the company explained.
Earlier, the head of the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange service, Nick Percoco (Nick Percoco), said that participants in crypto conferences and seminars often neglect simple security measures, which makes them light targets for hackers.
