To resume the service of Indian users, Kraken must register in the financial intelligence unit (FIU) and confirm their compliance with the requirements of the Law on Money Laundering (PMLA), which includes verification procedures (KYC) and a systematic notification of regulators about suspicious transactions.
In order to conduct organizational procedures and maintain contact with the India authorities, the exchange attracted Vishesh Khurana, co -founder of Shiproket, as an adviser to manage cryptocurrency operations in the country.
The representative of Kraken confirmed that the exchange intends in the near future to submit an application for work in India in FIU, but the possible time for the restarts of the unit were not named.
