Kremlin: Arms delivery to Ukraine ‘threatens Europe’ security

The delivery of weapons to Ukraine “threatens the security” of Europe, the Kremlin assessed today after the new call of the British Foreign Secretary Liz Tras to give more heavy weapons and planes in Kyiv.

“This tendency to flood Ukraine with weapons, mainly heavy weapons, is an action that threatens the security of the continent and causes instability,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov.

The British minister asked on Wednesday to increase the deliveries of heavy weapons and planes to Ukraine, after the invasion of Russia in the country.

“Heavy weapons, armor, planes – look carefully at your stocks, speed up production. We have to do all this,” Tras said.

However, the British minister clarified that “although there are no plans for Britain to send weapons such as planes, we certainly want to work with other countries to ensure that Ukraine has the equipment it needs.”

“If Putin succeeds, it will cause untold misery across Europe and have dire consequences around the world. We will never feel safe again,” she said.

Regarding the economic sanctions against Russia, Trash assessed that “we have to go further”.

“Putin should not find anywhere to finance his horrific war. This means a complete cessation of all gas and oil imports,” she said.
