Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed doubts tonight about whether the rejection of the proposed 36-hour ceasefire, by an adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, reflects the view of the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
“It is difficult for us to judge whether the opinion of (Mihailo) Podoliak reflects the view of the president of Ukraines” said the Peskovaccording to the Interfax agency and as relayed by the Athens News Agency.
Zelensky has yet to comment on her truce ordered by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Christmas (with the old calendar). Earlier, the adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, Mykhailo Podoliak, rejected Moscow’s proposal, calling it “hypocrisy” and saying that it would only be possible if Russia withdrew from all the territories it has occupied.
