Kremlin for French elections: The result of the first round confirmed the trend observed in several European countries

The result of the first round of parliamentary elections in France confirmed the trend that has already been observed in several other European countries, the Kremlin commented today, Monday 1/7. Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Alarm won a historically high percentage yesterday, Sunday, but the final result will depend on the alliances formed in the coming days before the second round on July 7. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Moscow was closely watching the French election and that it considered the first-round result to reflect a pan-European trend. “We are closely following the course of these elections and the trends that have already emerged in a number of European countries, including France, are being confirmed. We will wait for the second round even though the preferences of the French voters are more or less clear to us”, he concluded. Source: RES
