Russia is in contact with Turkey over grain exports from Ukraine, but there is a lot of uncertainty on the Ukrainian side, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov said on Friday.
Turkey said on Wednesday that it would take “enough time” to demine Ukraine’s ports, but that a safe sea corridor could be established in mine-free areas, according to a UN proposal.
Russia has said it offered a “safe passage” for Ukrainian grain shipments through Black Sea ports, but would not be responsible for building the corridors.
Russia said on Thursday it would facilitate the export of grain and oilseeds from Ukraine through Russian-occupied crossing points in the Sea of Azov, without specifying who supplies the food for export.
