Kremlin: Moscow ready to negotiate extradition terms with Kiev

Moscow says it is ready to negotiate the terms of Kiev’s surrender, just hours after the military invasion of Ukrainian territory.

In a statement issued through its spokesman Dmitry Peshkov, the Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had expressed readiness to engage in talks with his Ukrainian counterpart on two conditions: securing neutrality and neutrality. country.

These are conditions that, according to Peshkov, will allow the demilitarization and “de-Nazification” of Ukraine to be achieved and the elimination of what Russia now considers a threat to the security of its state and people.

“The president has stated his vision for what we would expect from Ukraine in order to solve the so-called ‘red line’ problems. This is the regime of neutrality and the non-development of weapons systems,” Peshkov said.

The spokesman added that Putin would set the timetable for the talks, but assured that Russia would only be involved “if the Ukrainian leadership is ready to talk about these issues.”

“The operation has its goals and must be achieved. The president said that all decisions have been made and the goals will be achieved,” Peshkov said, adding that if Kiev agreed to meet the demands, the current military offensive in Ukraine could stop.

Sakharova: Possibilities for new contacts

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow did not believe there was any possibility of contacts with Ukraine.

“It is their decision to end the relationship, they have the right to do so. New contacts? I can not say that there are no chances for contacts. The question is whether they want contacts and what they want,” Zakharova told a state channel.
