Kremlin: Our relations with the US are at an all-time low

It turns towards the West Kremlin while at the same time he emphasizes that Russia’s relations with USA are at a historic low. His spokesman said today, Friday (20/1) that Western countries supplying Ukraine with additional tanks will not change the course of the war, while on the contrary they will increase the problems of the Ukrainian people.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday that his government expects “strong decisions” after the meeting today in Germany of the so-called “Ramstein” group, i.e. the defense ministers and high-ranking military officials of about 50 countries, coordinated by the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and subject discussion the strengthening of the Ukrainian forces with modern tanks.

In addition, the Kremlin announced that its relations with the US are at an all-time low in the middle of Joe Biden’s presidency and that at present there is no hope of improvement.

Already strained US-Russian relations have further deteriorated over the past year, since Russia invaded the Ukraine and Western countries responded by imposing a series of economic sanctions against Moscow and by supplying Ukraine with arms.

Volodymyr Zelensky asks Western allies for massive military aid ‘that will stop evil’

The president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to Western allies to “accelerate” arms shipments, particularly tanks, to repel the Russian invasion at the start of a US-hosted Ukraine support conference in Ramstein, Germany.

Addressing participants via video link at the conference held at the US Ramstein base, Volodymyr Zelensky said the allies “should not negotiate on different quantities of tanks, but decide on a mass supply that will stop the evil”.

Earlier, Ukraine’s president thanked the United States on Twitter for a new $2.5 billion military aid package, which includes hundreds of armored vehicles.

“Thank you for giving Ukraine another strong defense support program,” he wrote. The weapons in the new package (which do not include Abrams heavy tanks) “are a significant aid in our fight against the invader.”
