“Kung Fu Panda 4”: first trailer brings new threats and dilemmas

Universal Pictures Brasil released, this Wednesday (13), the first trailer for “Kung Fu Panda 4”. The new film in the franchise starring panda Po promises new threats and a moral dilemma for the main character.

According to the official synopsis of the new film, the plot will follow Po on his journey to become the Spiritual Leader, needing to choose a new Dragon Warrior. However, a new threat, represented by a villain called Camaleoa, appears along the way, which could bring back enemies that Po had in the past.

In addition to Jack Black still voicing Po, they join the cast of the new film in the franchise
Ke Huy Quan (“Everything, Everywhere at Once”), Viola Davis (“The Woman King”) and Awkwafina (“Sleazy Rich People”).

“Kung Fu Panda 4” is scheduled for release on March 8, 2024 and is directed by Mike Mitchell (“Shrek Forever After”) and Stephanie Ma Stine (“She-Ra and the Princesses of Power”).

The animation is a continuation of three other films in the franchise produced by DreamWorks Animation, released in 2008, 2011 and 2016. It is worth noting that the productions are based on the wuxia fantasy genre, from ancient China, which mixes fantasy and martial arts.
