Kuwait: Authorities urge citizens to avoid traveling to several European countries

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in its announcements published last Sunday night, asked the citizens of the country to “postpone their travels” in general and mainly to five European countries: France, Germany, Britain, Spain and Italy.

He also called on them to “leave” these countries and return to Kuwait “due to the significant and unprecedented increase in the number of cases” of covid-19.

The number of new infections in Kuwait, which has a population of about 4 million, is growing rapidly and has increased twentyfold in one month, reaching about 600 yesterday.

Covid-19 cases are on the rise in other Gulf countries. In Saudi Arabia, from February 1, a booster dose of the vaccine will be mandatory for citizens to enter public places.
