It was completed a few minutes after 11 a.m. the meeting of the Government Council of National Security, under the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Environment and Energy Costas Skrekas, an analysis was made of the situation after yesterday’s worrying developments on the Ukrainian front.
Greece, as it is stressed, is in full coordination with its partners in the European Union and its allies in NATO in dealing with the situation that has developed, which is a violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the fundamental principles of international law.
Regarding the Greek nationals and our expatriates in Ukraine, the Greek authorities in Kiev and Mariupol are on constant alert in order to provide any assistance required.
At the KYSEA meeting under the Prime Minister, the energy issue was also on the front line. As far as the supply of natural gas is concerned, all possible scenarios have been examined and all the necessary measures have been taken to continue the smooth supply of the country.
