The La Cinef, Official selection of the Cannes Festival aims to highlight movies of film schools, be fiction or animation which reveal talent and deserve encouragement .
At the 2025 event, 13 action films and three animation were selected among the 2,700 enrolled by film schools around the world.
The first selection was shown on Tuesday (20) at the Buñuel Theater. See the schedule:
Program 1 of the selection La Cinef:
- Matalapaine
The film, produced by students from HELMI DONNER UNIVERSITY located in Finland, brings the story of a young mother, Irina, who is running away from her toxic relationship .
- Bimon
“BIMO”, work of students from OUMNIA HANADER located in France, tells Sihem’s story and the crossing of the brother
- Winter in March
The film, produced by students from Estonian Academy of Arts it tells the story of a young couple who escapes a repressive state and their escape becomes a nightmare.
- Three
The students of Juan Ignacio Ceballos in Argentina, they produced the story of Mario and Belén, who decide to surprise their brother, resulting in an inappropriate couple dinner.
