Lanzadera, the business accelerator supported by Juan Roig, has selected 100 new startups to promote it, with which there are currently more than 300 projects at the Marina de Empresas headquarters.
Among 1,100 candidates in the call, the hundred chosen startups try to position themselves in sectors as diverse as medicine, sports, food or fashion, always with a digital vocation.
This accelerator of the president of Mercadona It has already hosted more than 600 companies since its founding in 2013, with more than 15 million euros in loan financing. More than 3,250 direct jobs have arisen from this accompaniment, as well as an injection of external investment that its managers estimate at more than 130 million euros. Lanzadera is part of Marina de Empresa together with EDEM Escuela de Empresarios and the Angels investment company.
“For the second consecutive call, we have selected more than 100 companies. We are very satisfied with the number of applications received, which shows the great entrepreneurial talent and the desire to innovate in our country, which is precisely what the economy needs right now”, highlighted Javier Jimà Nez, CEO of Lanzadera.
Among the selected startups are Carnovo, which seeks to facilitate the process of purchasing a new car; Caponnetto Hueber, focused on the decarbonization of the maritime and nautical industries; Checktobuild, artificial intelligence that avoids construction overhead and delays; Clotsy Brand, a sustainable and vegan fashion startup; Devs on trees, with capacity control solutions; and Vermut, a leisure platform for the population between 55 and 79 years old.
The Lanzadera program is divided into four phases: the Scale Up phase, for companies with a proven and profitable business model; the Growth phase, to make companies that have consolidated their model grow (13 selected); the Traction phase, incubation (50 startups); and the Start phase, for entrepreneurs who have yet to fully develop their project (almost 40 teams). Depending on their needs, companies can receive grants from 1,000 euros up to financing of 500,000 euros.
