A recognition that should push any enthusiast to go there at least out of curiosity. Beyond the border, since I was a child I have frequented Crans-sur-Sierre, where one of the most spectacular mountain trails in the world is located. The altitude is around 1,500, you indulge in 4 tracks and the one I recommend is the Severiano Ballesteros, designed by the Spanish champion. To understand, the Omega European Master is played here every year. In Scotland, home of golf, there is my favorite links, Gleneagles, where you can breathe the atmosphere of an authentic Scottish club. The British style version is appreciated instead at the Went Worth Club, just outside London. If you want to alternate between golf and horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and bird watching, these are certainly the best destinations in the UK. Going overseas, for sure I would stop at Pebble Beach, California, a hot spot I would say mythological in the mind of a player, for the beauty of the holes that reach the coast, of sand and rock. On the podium, in the USA, there is the Augusta National Golf Club, home to one of the four majors, the Masters Tournament since 1934, so it is definitely quality handicap.
