Lady Di: check out 5 productions that portray the Princess of Wales

Eternal Princess of Wales, Diana Spencer, also known as Lady Di and the “people’s princess” would be completing 63 years old this Monday (1st), if she were alive. She died in 1997, victim of a car accident in Paris, France.

Diana married Prince Charles in 1981. Since then, she has become known for “breaking” the standards of what is expected of a member of the royal family, winning over the public. Many audiovisual works adapt aspects and moments of the princess’s life.

Lady Di was a fashion icon, involved in charitable causes, such as the Red Cross and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and was known for showing that she did not like to follow royal protocols.

“I do things differently because I don’t follow a rule book, because I lead with my heart. Every strong woman in history has had to walk a similar path,” she said in a well-known interview with the BBC in 1995.

To remember Diana’s legacy, the CNN selected five productions that portray his trajectory, within and outside the real mold. Check it out!
