Charles Spencer delighted royal fans this week after sharing a never-before-seen photo of the Princess Diana at school with many insisting that it is Princess Charlotte's lookalike.
The count shared the image on his Instagram page this week, writing: «My first day of school, September 1968: My father took this photo of me and my sister Diana, just before he took us to Silfield, a very nice primary school in King's Lynn, Norfolk. The headmistress was Miss Jean Lowe, a warm, caring woman who loved her boys and girls. I remained there until 1972.”
In the photograph you can see Diana standing next to Carlo, the two dressed in red blazer, red tie and long gray socks. The image was taken when Diana was seven years old, while her brother was only four.
Many of her followers were struck by the resemblance between the late Princess of Wales and her granddaughter, Princess Charlotte. The little royal will turn nine in early May, and with her brown hair and blue eyes, it's not hard to see why many see a family resemblance between the two.
On Instagram we read: «Princess Charlotte is Diana's copy»; another person wrote: «La Princess Diana lives in William's children. The resemblance is incredible.” A third added: “William's children are definitely Diana's copy.”
This isn't the first time Charlotte has been rumored to have a lookalike in the family. It has been said in the past that she resembles Lady Kitty Spencer, granddaughter of her grandmother, and Lady Sarah Chatto, granddaughter of the Queen and daughter of Princess Margaret. She has also been compared to Queen Elizabeth II, her great-grandmother, when she was a girl.
