THE iHeart Radio announced, this Wednesday (22), that the singers Lady Gaga 38, and Mariah Carey 55, will be honored at this year’s iHeart Radio Music Awards. The actress of “A Star Is Born” and “Joker: Delirium for Two” will receive the Innovator Award and the voice of “We Belong Together” and “Hero” will be honored with the Icon Award.
The award received by Gaga usually rewards artists who have impacted both music and other spheres of culture and promoted significant changes in society. Names like Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars have already received the honor, which was awarded to Beyoncé in the 2024 edition.
The Icon Award has already been given to major world music stars, such as Cher, Elton John, Bon Jovi and Jennifer Lopez.
Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen lead the list of nominees for the iHeart Radio Music Awards, with 10 nominations each. The two fight in some of the main categories, such as Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration. Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Sabrina Carpenter appear nine times.
The North American radio awards will take place on March 17th, at the Dolby Theater, in Los Angeles, in the United States. This year, the iHeart Radio Music Awards will pay tribute to the victims of the forest fires in the city, which have already killed 27 people and left many people homeless.
