Lady Gaga Says Her Harley Quinn Came From “Experience with Mania and Inner Chaos”

The actress and singer Lady Gaga 38, is set to debut as Harley Quinn in “Joker: Delirium for Two” which hits Brazilian cinemas on October 3. She spoke to Vogue about the experience of playing a new version of the iconic DC Comics character.

“Harley Quinn is a character that people know from pop culture. I had a different experience creating her, with my experience of mania and inner chaos — for me, that creates a stillness,” he began.

“Women are sometimes labeled as overly emotional creatures, and when we’re overwhelmed, we become erratic or unbalanced. But I wonder if when things get so far removed from reality, when we’re pushed too far in life, what if it makes you… quiet?” she continued.

“I would say I worked from a sensory memory perspective: What does it feel like to walk through the world and be…supported, in an intense way? And what happens when you cover up all the complexities beneath the surface?” he explained.

Gaga stars in the film alongside Joaquin Phoenix. “Joker: Delirium for Two” It is a sequel to the 2018 film also directed by Todd Phillips.

In the plot, Arthur Fleck is institutionalized in Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as the Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only finds true love, but also finds the music that has always been inside him.

Names like Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2”), Catherine Keener (“Being John Malkovich”), Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) and Jacob Lofland (“Bandit Love”) make up the cast.
