The first time that Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones she just stood out she had eight years. She was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Long blond hair, white dress, a crown of flowers to frame an angelic face, that April 29, 2011 in Westminster Abbey the nephew of the lamented woman rebel princess Margaret (younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II) stood out for its beauty. Just like today it reached e celebrates twenty years. Born May 14, 2002 at Portland Hospital in London, twenty-sixth in the order of succession to the British throne, Lady Margarita is the second child of David Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon and Viscount Linley, son of Princess Margaret, and of Serena Stanhope. The full name of the 20-year-old at the birth registry is Margarita Elizabeth Rose Alleyne Armstrong-Jones. Her first name is a tribute to her grandmother Princess Margaret, her second to Queen Elizabeth. Rose appears to have been chosen by her older brother Charles, three years her senior, while Alleyne is her surname from her mother.
Lady Margarita, like her brother Charles, was largely kept out of the royal spotlight. Apart from the Cambridge royal wedding in 2011, where she had a starring role as a bridesmaid, we have seen her on a few other occasions, for example in 2018 at wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and to that of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. Most recently, on March 29th, you attended at the mass in memory of Prince Philip, one year after his death. Additionally she is among the members of the Queen’s extended family usually admitted to her Majesty’s Christmas dinner at Buckingham Palace.
After a short time living at Kensington Palace, Margarita’s family moved in 2002 following the death of Princess Margaret and rented a cottage near the Daylesford estate. In February 2020, however, David Armstrong-Jones and wife Serena have left everyone speechless by announcing divorce after 25 years of marriage. A decision managed with great tact, without poisons and indiscretions. As it is in their style. The same style that Margarita seems to have inherited: extremely reserved regarding personal affairshas a private Instagram account (@margaritarmstrongjones) and so far no love stories or adventures are known about her, nor has she ever been photographed in sweet company. The girl studied at Tudor House School before enrolling at Oxford Brookes University, where she studies event management. More loves making silver jewelry, delicate pastel-colored necklaces and earrings, under the brand name Matitajewellery. Although she has chosen a life away from court, Margarita is one of the new faces of the British monarchy. You are part of a new generation that, albeit with discretion, can renew the image of the crown.
