Lamda Development, following publications in the electronic Press, informs the investing public that it is in advanced negotiations for the acquisition of the company that owns the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Athens discount village in Spata, Attica prefecture.
The company will promptly inform the investing public, with its newest announcement, about the conclusion of the relevant negotiations.
The managing director recently mentioned the possibility of acquiring a shopping center, in order to further strengthen its dynamics in the Greek market, but also the acquisition of 32% of Lamda Malls, the company that owns the Golden Hall and Mediterranean Cosmos shopping centers from the Varde fund of Lamda Development, Odysseas Athanasiou. He also noted that the group will maintain until 2023 its full participation in the two shopping centers (Golden Hall and Cosmos), which belong to the company in question.
At the same time, the autonomous entry of Lamda Malls to the Athens Stock Exchange is being considered, where the entry of a strategic investor could probably be considered as a possibility in this case. In essence, a joint company is to be created, which will include all five malls owned by the group as well as any that could result from a possible acquisition.
